...that I’m posting this goal online… but I waste too much of my free time online. I don’t think the net is bad… it’s a great tool and resource… and even fun. I’m not giving up on the internet… but I need to spend less time on it. I don’t use the internet for occupational purposes (unless it’s for researching an unusual method or product… but that is rare), so I should be able to limit my time online to an hour a day (and hopefully not use up that hour all at once) on average. Right now I’m on here pretty much all the time when I’m not working. That has got to change.

Finally I’ve accomplished this one aswell. Yay! I feel far better now!
How I did it? I found a part-time job, simple as that. No more time to procrastinate in the net, I have to study too! :D

Guys;
I have had enough of wasting time on the internet….it has cost me a lot of resources, my own growth has been stunted and I have been also affected in mind because of watching porn . Thus I have not taken care of the influences on my mind. I have from this very moment stopped the losses I used to have earlier. Enough of the internet, enough of time waste and useless thinking.
I am now checking the mail once in the morning and once in the evening.

I’m getting better at this…
I wrote on a piece of paper every specific case that needs my mac to be turned on. I won’t turn it on in other situations or when I don’t know what to do.
And that’s it! I’m far more self-disciplined since I know I have those rules to follow! :)

I’ve done this, and here’s my advice:
1. No Internet games. None.
2. Plan your online time. I often go online for legitimate reasons and end up using that as an excuse to waste time. If you really do need to use the Internet for work, research or communication reasons, write a short list of the things you need to do (e.g. reply to an email, look up a word, check the news) and stick to it.
3. Set a limit. If you tend to spend a lot of time on Facebook or MySpace, it helps to set yourself a time limit for those sites. A good amount is ten minutes. Write a Post-It note that says something like “Facebook 10-minute limit” and stick it to the side of your monitor so you can see it whenever you go on the computer.
4. Disconnect the Internet. If you really have a hard time staying offline, sever your connection when you’re done working, whether you have a cable or Wi-Fi. The next time you try to use the Internet, taking the time to reconnect will make you think twice about whether you actually need to.
