Why? 2 months ago

Clutter and mess make me very nervous and stressed. I often procrastinate cleaning, but that only makes the situation worse. I’m thinking that I’ll put in a solid half-hour into cleaning each day to keep up on it. For this reason, I’m glad we don’t live in a huge house!

I am so glad we moved out of the house we lived in. I really think it was killing all of us slowly. Since we have moved we are taking much better care of where we live and I’m not afraid to have people walk in the door and find a mess. We are keeping things picked up and looking nice. So I really guess I can remove this since it is much better then it ever was before. Thanks Jewels.

I have really been working 3 months ago

hard on this one. I have been keeping the dishes done up everyday. I do about 3 loads of Laundry a day and if I could just get vaccuumed everyday I think I would have it licked. It helps alot when things are organized. I don’t seem to get so overwhelmed.

Surprise Visit - UGH 3 months ago

A friend of mine dropped by from out-of-state last week. I wish I’d been up on this goal… I have now learned my lesson! I vow to clean and organize around the house TODAY!

I am attacking this goal with renewed vigor. I’ll be inviting my boyfriend over to my house for the first time some day soon, and I want everything to be perfect.

4 days post-cleaning 4 months ago

after going away for a day, husband expressed happiness at coming home and the apartment being the way it was when we cleaned/organized on sunday. not keeping things on the dining table that don’t need to be there. not keeping things on the couch that don’t need to be there. not putting things on backs of chairs that don’t need to be there.

independence from clutter and grime! 4 months ago

a much cleaner house after a july 4th weekend of cleaning, moving furniture, re-arranging, re-organizing. cleaned off the ceiling fan blades so that we can now use it in the heat of summer without the fear of grey/black chunks of grime flying into our food, on our heads, everywhere.

a process 4 months ago

that’s never done. a practice, to attend to.

when I left for two weeks, a small swarm of fruit flies were in the house to greet me – attracted to a head of cauliflower I’d forgotten to put away. ack. it took a couple of days for them to decide to leave.

sources of satisfaction: vinegar and baking soda, dusting and sweeping, clean stove.
