Learn to speak Spanish

Presently I’m learning Spanish through podcasts and am able to speak quite a lot of the language for daily use. I hope it’s gonna be better in future

I am an educator looking for a job. There are many positions out there that give preference to those who speak more than one language and in this country Spanish is most often the “other” language. Some day I will add the Hmong language to my list. However, I have some experience in speaking Spanish. I will go with this for now.

I studied Spanish for 2.5 years in school and want to pick it back up. I have purchased the Rosetta Stone program and started with diligence. (Anyone on the fence about spending the $$$ for Rosetta Stone, I give it two thumbs WAY up) I study for two hours each morning over coffee. So far, so good. Mini goal- complete level 1 by the end of November.

What a fool I was studying Francais when I could have been conversational in Spanish by now. No time like the present.

I signed up for Spanish word a day. Its a great site, they let you listen to how the word is pronounced, which is really helpful.

Fall 2007 – took a beginner spanish class through the local college… now to continue and get some practice!

I took French for four years in HS and altough I enjoyed it, it was not a terribly practical choice in languages. I live in an area that has a large hispanic population and I would like to learn spanish.
