I am still taking CHANTIX. And 3 more weeks to go. It does work. The real question is after the 3 weeks… I am pretty confident to maintain smoke free. One day at the time. It is not that hard with Chantix but soon I’ll be off from that. When I can check this off????

How I did it: I have only been smoking for about 5 years so I don't think it may be as hard for me as someone who has been smoking longer. My husband hates smoking so that was a huge motivator. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Meu namorado ajudou muito no processo. How I did it: I received the patch for free through the New York State Quit Smoking hotline! Although this is only my second day without smoking, I think about the past 15 years where I smoked everyday and can't help but have a feeling of immediate success! I'm not gonna lie and say that it is easy but it is much easier than I could have imagined it to be! Quit now and save your life! SuperKarrie is quitting smoking!!!
I am still having terrible mood swings. My husband’s smoking doesnt help. And I dont know how to deal with the everyday stress. That’s the worst. I know it’s all mental now, but I miss it.
SeiareX is contemplating bigger and better things...
Well, the bad news is I still smoke. The good news however, is that I’ve set a date… AND IT’S IN TWO DAYS!! Five days off of work should help kick the nicotine out, then from there it’s all about forming a good habit rather than a bad one. Twelve hours a day at a place you don’t like to be makes this my toughest goal…
It’s very, very hard. I always think of smoking, I feel tired, dizzy, I need to beat someone, I need to yell at everyone, so…sometimes I think…why bother?
So I had quit smoking for two years and started running… than next thing I know I stopped running, and was smoking a pack a day!
I really want to stop smoking again. The worst part about smoking is coughing. Especially having a cough around boys in which I wish to smooch. LOL. No more coughing, saving money, and I won’t have to worry about smelling like a jerk.
It’s been three months since I finished my last pack of cigarettes (but only ten days since I last smoked (two “drunk-cigarettes” at a party). I remember that back in July, in the “biergarten”, the instructor / assistant prof referred to me and the other guy as “smokers”, and how strange this sounded to my ears. I’ve not considered myself a real smoker since quitting last December. And I still don’t, which makes it easier to want to stay healthy – in spite of the occasional relapse.
With all of my oops!-moments this year, I’m always trying to figure out how bad the occasional cigarette really is – not only mentally, but for my body’s circulatory system. Well, a recent Times article pointed to a study of social smoking and how arterial responsiveness drops by 24% after two cigarettes, plus probably increasing the risk for developing cardiovascular problems later on. Ouch.
I hate smoking, but I’m hooked. It has so many disadvantages – I feel like shit and don’t exercise; many girls won’t date a smoker; it cuts into my work schedule… and it costs a ridiculous amount of money.
Even with nicotine replacement I still have severe withdrawal… which fucks up my life in general – work and with other people. How the hell do I do this?
Beung on vacation with my in-laws who don’t know that I smoke is really taking a toll on my habit and cutting back so much for a week will might be a good start untill the ride home 12 hrs. in a car and not smoking Yeah Right! or I will become a dissapearing act I don’t know how this is going to be but I am definatly not smoking as much wich is a good thing.
First entry about this. Wahoo! I’ve had this on my list for quite a while now, but just recently decided to do it.
My urges to smoke aren’t as bad as I thought they would be… Only constant. That’s what really sucks.
Cold turkey. Pshh.
