Mum visited me and gave me some tips to be more concious of my environment. I don’t think I can create beauty like she can.

I can create a mess. That’s all.

Some avenues

1. Start with the small things. Strive to cultivate an aesthetic sensibility in every aspect of my life. Arrange my shoes beautifully. Play with how I wear my hair. Choose the light and smells of my surroundings carefully.
   
   
2. Throw myself wholeheartedly into aesthetic projects. Draw pictures or shoot photos every day.

My mother – she can make your house look like a Japanese painting just by placing the things you have owned for years in their right spot. I mean, she sees something most people don’t – well, at least I don’t.

Now, I have always lived in a pig-sty. After a few years I got a little better, but still, I never was able to catch up with my dishes, hanging up my clothes, vacuuming my carpet, doing my bed everyday, filing important documents…

I am moving in a weeks time. This is going to be a new chance. I will make it a mission to make my surroundings pleassurable to all senses.
