How I did it: Well, it was absolutely random. I was at a computer lab when I ran into Mark the Wellness Guy and he told me he was organizing a sailing field trip on Friday. (November 21, 2008) So I signed up, showed up Friday and had a blast! Read how I did it…
Sarah Kelly is apple picking in kent...then baking some apple pies ^_^ yumm
How I did it: Do I seriously have to write something here?? lol... umm went on a trip to Hawaii... and once we were finished surfing we all went over to hop on the booze cruise. I would like to actually control the 'mass'... {thinks thats the technical term for it} myself one day and see what it feels like to actually sail the boat on my own. Read how I did it…
Piratefandango is hippy dancing
How I did it: Went on a Tall Ship from Southampton to Barry, arrrr. It's basically Tall Ships Youth Trust but they have adult trips aswell. You join as part of the crew, sail a tall ship about the place and have a bit of an adventure... and if you're in the UK you get completely soaked :D www.tallships.org Read how I did it…

I love sailing. There is nothing more exilerating, the movement of the boat through the water, the wind in the sail and blowing through your hair, the ocean spray, the smell of the sea. I’ve sailed off California, Fiji, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, etc. Here’s a shot sailing from Gili Air to Gili Trawangan near Lombok in Indonesia. It was a beautiful day. Crystal clear water. You could see the coral and sea grass below. Colorful fish of all description were everywhere as we maneuvered the boat through the reef to land on the beach of Gili Trawangan. And there begins another story.
bellamauvais is on the beach
i went sailing in the bay in san diego—it was super relaxing and soo worth it. next time i want to try the catamarans though!
caliegirl has wasted today...
I did a bit of sailing for DofE back in year 11 and 12, and i loved it!! sailed to remote campsites and set up camp, and then sailed around for a few days… it was awesome
Now i live just down the road from a place that i think you can do it… now i just need to find someone to come along with me…
although… Sydney is not known for remote places… so i dont think it will be as rustic here…
Bought the book “KISS guide to sailing”. The book is very informative. Also decided that the potter 19 is the right boat for me. Need to wait a little before buying though.
I’ve started canoeing, and there’s a sailing club next door. I might pop in there next weekend.
Michelle is figuring out a new routine.
every day on my break i go to marine park to watch the sailboats, which i consider to be one of the most peaceful things ever.
i would love to go sailing on one.
then there are the yachts. oy.
first i’ll try sailing, then if i love it as much as i think i will, the goal will transform into owning one. maybe i’ll buy a yacht when i retire and just live there. :)
Well, it was fun. But it wasn’t exactly what I had in mind for this goal. So I’m going to keep it on the list. Oh well; there is always another day.
