How I did it: Bought it off a major computer dealer web site. Most tedious part was to locate one at the right price with right features. I ended up adding a few more features to the order. Then I had to wait for it to be put together and shipped. Read how I did it…

How I did it: I went to BestBuy of ALL places. I know they usually charge HUGE prices but I got a really nice laptop for a mere $500 :o)I originally wanted a Dell Studio 15/17 but I mean, they were $1400 so no. Instead I got a black and silver (my fave colors) dell inspiron 1525. Its cool. I love it. I take it everywhere. But now Im not using it for photography like I originally planned, now Im using it for my home business! Read how I did it…
robotot sitting in the dark.
I already actually have 2, but one has no screen, so must be plugged into an external monitor.
But what I really want is a macbook.
...and one of those cute Asus Eeee laptops.
I will have to wait until I pay off more debt and start teaching/earning a better salary.

I got a MacBook for Graduate school….hey, I needed one!
yesterday i went out and bought the one i had had my eye on.
i almost thought about an ASUS, but i asked the guy helping me about the HP dv5-1045 and it turned out to be heaps better than all the other ones he’d shown me. so i bought it :D
it’s sooo great, i love having a computer that works 10 times better than any others i’ve had. i can’t wait to try out my games.
only thing is it doesn’t have any of my files, and i am hopeless at trying to access my old computer through the network,
so i’ll either get my friend around to help me or just transfer stuff using my ipod…
had a look at some laptops today.
at jb hi fi they didn’t really have much,
then i went to nym’s work and they had a HP laptop for $1500 AU
with pretty much the specifications i wanted, then i realised they had the exact same laptop at jb, but for $100 less.
i think i’m going to buy that one,
it’s a decent price, it has good specifications, and it looks good.
i’ll try again to find the type of laptop pat and nym have (an ASUS one, with pretty much the same specs)
and see how much that is, but if it’s too much i’ll just get the HP one.
mellfire is clearing out the clutter, both literally and figuratively.
...to have a laptop for my music so that it would be portable for gigs and collaborations etc.
As the music has been shelved for now, it’s just about laziness…. I want to check my e-mails from my bed :D

“Most stores sell little platforms for your laptop that have fans in them to keep your computer from overheating. Is this needed or just an unnecessary precaution?”
