My new job has really changed my sleeping patterns and as a result I have been sleeping way too much. I go to bed around 2-4 am and wake up around 1-2 pm and sometimes as late as 3 pm! It’s absurd, and I need to do something about it. So I have come up with a plan which I have started today. I will wake up everyday at 11am, without exception, that way if I stay up too late one night I will just go to sleep earlier the next night and eventually I will get use to the schedule and my body will know when it is best for me to go to sleep. However, I do need to set some type of goal within this goal to let me know when I have actually completed it. So, for the sake of completion I will challenge myself to try this for 30 days.
Progress:
Day 1 = success
Day 2 = success … lingered in bed on the phone
Day 3 = success? I did achieve my goal of sleeping less, as I only slept for about 7 hours, but I woke up at 12 pm and went to bed at 5 am. I was reading! it got fun…

Julie
is procrastinating (as usual).
I feel like I sleep ALL DAY. I want to minimize this but still get at least 8 hours a day.
I get tired very easily and I can fall asleep without knowing. I think I have a iron deficiency (because I don’t eat meat) so I will buy iron supplements when I get the chance and also take more walks so my body doesn’t think it’s sleeping.
I want to complete and maintain this goal because I am getting very far behind with my work and would like to stay on top of things.

I got this so awesome job. I will blog about that in quit my job section. I really dont sleep that much. I have to wake up around 2:45 am – 3:00 am to get ready for work. I get home at 12:15pm everyday. I clean, cook, and study and go out where ever I want. By the time I sleep its like 10pm. So i sleep like 5-6 hours daily and on weekends I sleep till about 8am.
I feel so good, like I am not wasting time.

I’m setting my alarm at five from this day on and only going to bed when i am legit tired. hopefully with all this extra time i can accomplish a few more goals

My fiance sleeps a lot (12+ hours and a nap, we he can), and because it’s favorite thing to do, he wants me to do it. It’s depressing that that’s how he wants me to spend my life… unconscious.

Having a busy (or at least more busy) schedule makes this one pretty easy. I’ll just have to stay resigned to the fact that unless I have somewhere to be, my body is going to demand that I stay in bed allllll day long.
