I used to sing in a choir as a soprano and I really enjoyed it… until I got into high school and I felt like I was too old to be around a bunch of 11 year old girls. Plus, my taste in music never really coincided with what we sang, and I became something of a music eliteist.
Now i’m older and I still love to sing but I know I have lost a lot of ability and tone, and I’ve done a lot of damage to my voice. Hopefully I can find someone in Nevada I like that I can get some lessons from. If I have time…

I have been told by a lot of people that I have a good voice. I think it’s decent considering I’ve never had voice lessons. I think they would really boost by self-esteem, give me a possibly powerful voice, and help me to be more comfortable singing in front of people.

i have a good ear for notes but no idea how to control my body to belt them out. my range is pretty limited now—maybe lessons would help? future yma sumac? hahaha

In high school I took lessons from this guy in his run down house. He didn’t really know what he was doing as far as teaching. It probably wasn’t the formal training that people want but I learned a lot of good warm up exercises and he was a weird but nice guy.

I don’t think I have an ear but I like to sing. My guy thinks I could train my ear but he prefers that right now I don’t sing.
I wonder if this will help us both…

I have “start running” as a thing. I park my car in front of a store that’s near the trail where I walk/run, and there’s a sign on the store front for voice lessons! I took down the number, so I will have to give them a call. :)
