end racism and prejudice

hate for such reasons…what is the reason for it?

The only person I can really change is me, and I’m lucky that I grew up in a racially diverse area, and that somehow I learned about welcoming differences early on. I will keep working on this. Overcoming racism is the easy part.

For me, I have a bigger problem with more subtle prejudices, like the ones I have against narrow minded people who are very opinionated, but who won’t explore the other side of an issue. I also have a prejudice against people who are deeply in denial and who won’t address it, because their obliviousness can be very difficult for the people around them and sometimes dangerous.

I mean seriously, the world could REALLY do without them. They really haven’t gotten us (as a “race”/as a nation/as a species) far.
