213 days away 2 weeks ago

I set up a countdown to June 17 on my cell phone—I am 213 days, 5 hours, and 43 minutes away. I don’t really feel anxious about retiring or wish that the time between now and then would hurry up because I am enjoying my last of 34 years of teaching.

Retirement 4 months ago

Retire before I reach age 60.

Cold feet... 4 months ago

Looks like it’s all worked out & within a couple of weeks we’ll be in a position to make an offer on that farm we loved… Now I’m having second thoughts… I always do this, want something then panic when I get it, then want it, then panic… On & on it goes until I’m finally ready to make a decision…

Hubby isn’t being very supportive because he’s already decided what he wants to do, and he doesn’t waffle once he decides… Me, I go in circles until I’m sure…

I know the panic will pass, but right now I’m terrified…

I'll be able to retire young... 4 months ago

hopefully within the next few years… Hubby & I both came from farm towns & want to move back to one… We’ve been checking out small horse farms near where we live now & have found one we LOVE

We went to see it again today & I tossed out a prayer/intention… If it’s meant to be, it’ll be easy for us to nudge circumstances in that direction… If we meet with too much resistance, then I guess it isn’t meant to be, and we’ll find another place to love…

It IS beautiful, though… The screened porch overlooking a steep wooded hillside is just where I want to rock with hubby when we’re too old to do much else… :)

I thought the bluebird that flew by as we were sitting on the porch was a very good sign…

haha

Technically... 6 months ago

Well technically, everyone retires. Some are lucky enough to do it with usable time left in their life, some do it when they’re forced to by physical issues, and some retire at death. I’m hoping for the first one, but my retirement won’t be a lazy one—it would give me time to pursue my passions.

I realize that I’ve already flubbed any chances for a traditional retirement—pension, etc., so I have to pursue moolah and security in other ways. I’ve got my fingers crossed that it’ll happen with enough work and ingenuity.

RETIRE!!! 6 months ago

I plan to be retired by the time I’m 35!!! I recently started my own business that is just booming! I am so excited that I just want to share it with the world. I have partnered up with a company that is growing 20% month after month. The incredible thing is that most companies try to do this yearly. The company is on pace to break google’s record. The greatest thing is that I get to save my family from this financial rut and be young enough to enjoy it. By the time I decide to have children my only stress will be about raising it correctly instead of financial. I will actually be able to be there for my childs entire life and that drives me. Everywhere I go I look for people who want to be success as I do. Anyone can do what I do they just need to know they can and that it is possible. My mother barely speaks english and she is one of the key parts of my team. It’s not about what you do but its about what you start!! She now also for the first time in her life owns her own business. We didn’t come from money but we sure do have the drive to make it and share the opportunity with others! I think that is what makes us successful the fact that we focus on others being successful. I love hearing that people are able to pay the mortgage easier or have more time with their families or even bought the car they’ve been wanting. The one thing I have learned is that your success lies in the success of others. check out what I do www.jessicavasquez.energy526.com

i am 63 and have till my 65th birthday. by then all my bills should be paid and i can live comfortably.

my retirement consists of quilting and yard work, fun things i have no time to do now, like going places with friends and my computer. maybe even selling on e-bay.

We’re aiming for about five years…

An end to it 7 months ago

Retirement will be the end of this rat race for me.
My plans for it are still a bit fuzzy, but that’s alright since it’s still years away.
