I just turned 21, and I want to be in college. I’m stuck working full time at a high-stress, low-paying job, and there is no way that I can work and go to school full time. I could work part time at a low-stress, decent-paying job if I had to. I need financial aid, plus grands and/or loans so I can pay my bills through college. I have no family to help me.
I can do this though. I’ve been on my own for 3 years, and it’s time for me to get on track to where I want to be.
If anyone is wondering, I want to be a Naturopathic Doctor.

But it’s definitely an important goal of mine. I don’t know where I want to go yet. I would go to the university in my town if I didn’t already live here. I want to go someplace new but not too far away—maybe Cornell? Far enough that it’s really different, but close enough to drive back home in one day. Wherever I decide I want to go, it will definitely be an accomplishment to be accepted.

mnairne- I’m in the same situation. I applied early and should hear back by December 15th. Every time I think about going to college, especially this school, I get so unbelievably excited, but then I immediately begin to go into ultimate panic-mode. I’ve been consistently sick this year just thinking about receiving a rejection letter from them. I just want to be in so badly.

There are only another 9 or 10 days before I find out whether or not I got into the college that I applied to early. I have been getting migraines everyday and I can’t sleep at night worrying over this. I can’t wait until this whole process is over.

I should be working on this goal instead of being on this site right now! LOL

it is in 4 days. I’m trying to get into medical school, the most disputed one.
I’m not feeling 100% prepared, but I’m so tired that I just want to finish it. It’ll be a relief to finally do it.
in this first exam, I’ll have to do questions about portuguese language and literature, chemistry, physics, biology, world & brazilian history, geopolitics, physiogeography, mathematic and foreign language (english). I’m not too sure about physics and physiogeography.
if I pass the first exam, I’ll have another one in middle december. it’ll be so much easier, cause it’s just biology, chemistry, physics and an essay. I’ll be able to make more effort in physics (in which I suck a lot) and essay training (in which I suck a little).
I’m curious about what’s going to happen.
